Hi, I’m Morgan! I have been a practicing therapist for over 4 years and have primarily worked in outpatient orthopaedics and sports rehabilitation with specific training in manual therapy. Over the years, my classical ballet training introduced me to Stott Pilates; this ignited my interest in the human body – the intricate connections, how we move, and the power of focused muscle activation. Learning and practicing these concepts also assisted in my own rehabilitation following various dance injuries.
Over the years, I have gone beyond traditional rehabilitation methods to more effectively treat the root of the problem, not simply the symptom and what you are “feeling.” I also believe there is great power in manual therapy, especially when combined with specific therapeutic exercise that addresses your biomechanics. I have found this to be a golden combination in rehabilitation with excellent response to the tailored hands-on treatment and training I provide.
There is often a deeper cause to the pain you feel which may not be due to a problem in the exact area you feel discomfort. This has especially been helpful with athletes in relieving their symptoms and improving their performance. My focus in training is to replicate the environment to which individuals want to return and train them to be successful where they spend the majority of their time – whether that be at work, on the field, in the gym, or at home with family.
